  • Nov 30, 2009 Washburn D-10N SN 94110179. The first 2 numbers in the serial number should. Yamaki's had stopped making Washburns at that date.
  • As you can tell on the second picture is this is a Washburn made in 2000, but what has me stumped is there is a different serial number near the inside.

Hi folks, Hate to be another one of these posters, but any help with ID'ing this guitar? It is a D12N, serial no.

I wanted to see if any of you know anything about oscar schmidt serial. Any help with dating. It is difficult to designate it in terms of model name or number.

Download software for samsung smart tv. There is no 'made in' information on it. The serial number looks weird to me and I can't tell the year of manufacture from it. I reallllly doubt it is 2004. I'd like to know a little bit more about this guitar I recently picked up.

I was a long-time Fender guy, liquidated everything I owned about 15 years ago and am just getting back into it so I grabbed this cheap used guitar just to get the feel for it again. However I quite like its sound and feel and now I'm curious about its history. It looks well-used but is in great shape. Can you post some photos?

Pics of the label inside the body of the guitar would help, the headstock and a closeup of the rosette (there are times that little piece of information differentiates models). Also, take a look inside the body to see if there is a number on the neck-plate. What little I can tell you is information you probably already know.it's a dreadnought size guitar, all laminate construction with a natural finish. Washburn is a bit inconsistent with their serial numbers, for some of them the first digit of the serial numbers designates the year of manufacture and you have to look the model up on the Washburn site to see the date range they were manufactured, other times the first two numbers in the serial number designate the year of manufacture. I'm not certain, but IIRC the models with 7 numbers in the serial number are the ones for which the first two digits designate the year of manufacture and for 6 digit models you need to research Washburn's site to find out when the model production occurred. Yours could be a 1990 or a 2000 model if i'm correct about that.the chances of that are about 50%, though.but we do have a few historians who will know for sure and can give you some more information, such as price range, etc. How to post a photo.and a VERY long thread related to serial numbers: Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. Here is a bit of info for you. D12 - dreadnought style, spruce top, round soundhole, black pickguard, three-stripe bound body and rosette, mahogany back/sides/neck, 14/20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlay, rosewood bridge with pearl dot black pins, three-per-side chrome diecast tuners, available in Black, Brown, Natural, White, Woodstone Blue (1990-91 only), or Woodstone Brown (1990-91 only) finish, mfg.

Late 1970s-1994. Grading 100% Excellent Average N/A $150 - 200 $80 - 100 Last MSR was $350 Washburn serial# systems have not been consistent over the years so dating is often problematic. My guess is yours is a 1990 or a 1994 build.

The first digit or the first two digits are the indicator. If it was a 1980 or 84 build it would likely only have five digits in total. Six digit serial number started in the late 80's/1990. So process of elimination leads me to believe it's a '90 or '94. Dugly is right re: construction. It's a all laminate guitar.

Worth $75 to $100 if it's in good shape. Wonderful, thank you for your help, both of you! 1990 or 94 makes sense given its patina/wear etc. I paid $15 for it so I'm very happy with the value, but I would have been happy with it even at $100+.

It's perfect for my needs at present. Am I correct in thinking that this would have been Washburn's entry-level acoustic? I've got a bit of a soft spot in my heart for entry-level/beginner guitars that punch outside their weight class - my most treasured guitar in my Fender days was a 1966 Fender Mustang, which was their short-scale student model at the time.
