Tech Points: 3969 From: AUS Posted: 10:47:00 AM # 2 Have done a successful clean installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on my ASUS notebook computer. It works perfectly. Windows 7 contains the necessary drivers in itself. You don’t need to install the drivers. After the installation is completed, go to Windows Update to get the latest drivers. As for the Windows 7 Utilities, such as the ATKHotkey, Splendid, Power 4 Gear and so on, you can download them from the following support site. Everything works properly.

There is no problem at all. I think that you can also install Windows 7 on your X59SL notebook computer successfully. Member Posts: 3 Level. Everything which effect om micro is on MAX but it still very quiet.

For anyone experiencing very low microphone results with Windows 7 the following worked for me: First ensure you have the latest Realtek driver installed. Open the Control Panel and go to Hardware and Sounds. Click 'Manage Audio Devices' Click 'Recording' at the top Click 'Properties' Click 'Levels' You'll see two(2) sliders: Microphone and Microphone Boost. Make sure Microphone is at 100% Slide 'Microphone Boost' all the way up (+30dB) Click on OK Try your mic now:) Adjust the Microphone boost as you see fit. This solved the problem for me in Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit though I did back the Microphone Boost down to +25dB after testing it out.

Hope this helps! Member Posts: 2 Level. Tech Points: 2 From: Hungary Posted: 7:44:00 PM # 7 Hi Willy, Do you think, the 32bit and 64bit version can make a difference regarding the sound? I installed the 32bit version and have the same problem as some other X59SL owner. I tried both audio driver, the Windows 7 and the Realtek too, but there is always a crackling and I can't use Skype because the micro is too quiet. (All settings are OK.) Do you have some idea? Other: I have installed the Windows7 for 3 days ago, but I guess, my laptop is slowlier than with Vista:( VIP Member Posts: 6 Level.

Hi, please forgive me if I don't explain much very well, I'm not a very tech savvy person but this problem has driven me mad. I have tried to search around for help but I can't get the right answers, it's always for a different model of ASUS or some different sound device for Windows 7 - I just don't know how to solve this issue. About a month or so ago, my laptop started producing these very annoying, screeching sounds in one side of my headphones. I thought nothing of it but then later, when I would play a song or a video, whether it was internet based or from my computer, I would hear crackling/popping sounds from my headphones while it played, increasing in intensity as I put the volume up. Even if the volume was done, the popping would be very loud and wouldn't go away unless I muted the speakers. The problem is NOT my headphones because I tried listening with different sets and all had the same problem. It's not just the jack either I think because when I take the headphones out, the problem persists and the audio is laggy and distorted.

Sometimes, the audio will lag so badly I can't make it out and pop so much and sometime it even just goes berserk, sounds like a bad television hum but much louder and like an annoying buzz until it goes back to popping and crackling. The nasty problem occurs with both speakers and headphones and it's just very annoying. I can't listen to music without hearing this annoying popping, crackling, screeching, buzz noises. And it's not just when I play music either. It's when I do -anything- on my computer. Eventually, the noise will stop if I don't do ANYTHING.

But as soon as I click something, say, I run my internet application, the sounds will reappear. I don't know why this is. As I've mentioned, I've tried looking for help but I don't understand anything or the problem does not apply to me / my model of laptop. I have an ASUS running Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer Inc System Model: K50IJ System Type: x64-based PC I don't know how to check the sound card name or anything like that but under system information, it says the sound device is named VIA High Definition Audio. The last time I tried to do a driver update for my audio drivers, it said everything was up to date and did not do anything.

Disabling, uninstalling, re-enabling, reinstalling drivers did not do anything to help. But what do I know? I would love any help I can get from someone who can explain this stuff to me so I'm sorry if I test your patience with my limited knowledge of technology.I'm just really sick and tired of this problem. Thank you to anyone who can help me. The problem has intensified - the sound is now much worse and laggy and it sounds absolutely awful. I don't know what to do. I tried disabling/enabling things as The DPS Latency checker suggested but nothing worked -everything made it worse.

Torrent spyhunter crack code software. Removal of an item in the exclusions list is just as easy, simply select the checkbox next to the item that you wish to remove and then click the “Remove” button.

If I disable my sound driver, it'll cut sound off altogether. I'm at a loss and I'm very stressed. The first screen is when I'm not doing anything. Second is when I have device manager window open and playing a youtube video. Also, I hear a loud audible pop/crack from the laptop itself when the lag/issues start.

2 years late.BUT I've got the same BestBuy Asus K50IJ I usually listen to the music on dedicated MP3 player so only few days ago I've noticed distinct buzz in my headphones. Right channel was OK, but the Left one was unbearable! Some sort of screechy/white noise/Morse code, lol, annoying as hell. And it even seemed to follow the mouse pointer/scrolling in browser. I thought the comp components or jack was damaged! Finally in desperation I got rid of VIA HD Audio driver.

And replaced it with a generic Audio Codec from Realtek All buzzing stopped in both channels. The sound is clear a whistle. Sound & Audio I've recently noticed that the sound coming through my speakers is heavily distorted and crackly. It's not the speakers themselves; they have been tested. I thought that the port might be loose, but it happens with anything plugged into the front jack as well.

The Audio Troubleshooter from. Sound & Audio Hi all, A couple of weeks ago I bought and downloaded a copy of the 'AOS system optimizer' and after using it to 'optimize' my system it instead screwed it up big time. Now my sound crackles and stutters when I play all media, online or offline, dvds, youtube, games, etc. Sound & Audio Hey guys, I just upgraded my Asus N70sv laptop to windows seven home premium, from the equivalent version in vista. The sound was horribly distorted.

For some reason I decided to roll back the driver to see what would happen, and guess what? It works great again. This is probably not a permanent.

Sound & Audio Hello 7 forums, I'm having an issue with my audio that is driving me up a wall. I'm having that (apparently common) issue of crackling/popping/static-y audio on a Realtek chip. I've tried multiple drivers, from Realtek official to Generic to Vista ones. My latency graph has little to no spiking. Sound & Audio Our Sites Site Links About Us Find Us.
